Q: What happens to the information supplied in my application?
A: All information supplied by the applicant will be treated as commercial-in-confidence. State/Territory and National Export Awards Coordinators will use that information solely for the purpose of judging the 2018 State/Territory and Australian Export Awards.
Q: My head office is located in NSW, but I have operations in ACT and NT: am I able to apply in all three State Export Awards Programs?
A: If your head office is located in NSW then you may only apply in the NSW Export Awards Program.
Q: How do I know if I am eligible to apply, and if I am unsure who can I ask?
A: Before applying, check the eligibility criteria on the application site; if you are still uncertain about whether you are eligible, contact your State/Territory Coordinator for clarification.
Q: Can I apply for more than one category?
A: Yes, you can, but you can only win in one category. Also note that judges reserve the right to determine in which category you best belong, normally they will adopt your stated preference.
Q: I am unsure about some of the questions in the application and also have some general queries about what type of photos I need to upload. Can I contact someone in regards to these questions and / or can I seek help in preparing my application?
A: Yes, if you have any specific questions regarding the application or would like assistance, contact your relevant State or Territory Export Awards Coordinator. Their details are on the home page.
Q: I have received information for my State/Territory's Export Awards program and have also received information from the Australian Export Awards program... what is the difference between these award programs?
A: Each State and Territory in Australia runs an Export Award program. Entering at the State/Territory level is your only path to the Australian Export Awards with winners from each State and Territory program automatically progressing to the Australian Export Awards as national finalists.
Q: Can I write my answers in a word document and then cut and paste them into the online application ?
A: Yes you can. However, if you paste more text than the allotted word limit, your answers will be cut off at the appropriate limit when saved.
Q: Can answers exceed the word limit allocated for each question ?
A: No, each written question has a specific word limit. If you exceed that word limit, the system will stop you typing automatically leaving your answer incomplete.
Q: I am concerned about putting in my financial details in the application form. Is this information mandatory? Is this information kept confidential ? Who will be reading my application?
A: Financial information is mandatory and all information including the financials contained in your Export Awards application will be used solely for the purpose of judging and will be treated as strictly commercial-in-confidence. Judges are required to sign Confidentiality Agreements prior to undertaking judging at both the state/territory and national awards levels.
Q: What elements of the application are compulsory?
A: All elements within the application are compulsory. If a question does not apply to your products/services then you must enter N/A in the text box.
Q: What if I have submitted my application and want to make a change before the closing date?
A: You can edit your application up and until the closing date even after you have submitted it. All you need to do is log back in, click on the "Edit Application" button and use the navigation tools to edit sections of your application. If you are unsure, contact your State/Territory Coordinator who will be able to facilitate the change for you upon receiving your request in writing. Please note that it is recommended that you check all your questions carefully before submitting your application.
Q: How will I know if my application was submitted successfully?
A: You will receive an automated email confirming that your application was submitted. If you do not receive an email, contact the eAwards Technical Support on 1300 959 555 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Q: Can I submit my application offline?
A: No, all applications must be submitted online. If you are having difficulty with the online system or require assistance in submitting your application, please contact your relevant State/Territory Export Awards Coordinator.
Q: If I am a winner of an Export Award, will I be notified prior to the official Awards Presentation?
A: No, winners will be announced at the Awards Presentation in their respective State/Territory. Winners at the State/Territory level automatically progress to become national finalists in the Australian Export Awards.
